Traditional Foods, Healthy Communities - Grower group update

Beverly Larkin describes herself as a "socially conscious entrepreneur". She has been a member of many organizations and has chaired several of them. She is currently on EJAM's Traditional Foods, Healthy Communities Food Justice Council and is a founding member of Kwanzaa Community Church. Throughout her life, Beverly has been employed in stock transfer, corporate finance and as a foundation executive. Bev ran for the 8th Ward City Council, and was elected to the very first two Neighborhood Revitalization policy boards as a neighborhood representative. Beverly is also a Gospel singer, gardener and avid fisherman.

Now Bev is pouring her knowledge and heart into the development of a new natural cosmetic line that is made in North Minneapolis, using agricultural products grown by local urban farmers.  Joined by a circle of five extremely skilled women, all from North Minneapolis, Beverly's group is literally taking this project from concept to product.

Beverly's products are beautifully simple, natural and non-toxic.  Watch for her product launch in the spring of 2012.
