The 6th Annual Founder's Day was on Saturday, April 25th

From 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

BUILDING WITH COMMUNITY - CREATING SUSTAINABLE FUTURES

EJAM celebrates and empowers the community with its annual conference to be held at the Phyllis Wheatley Community Center in Minneapolis.

This year’s Keynote speaker is Dr. Rose Brewer. Rose Brewer, MA, PhD is the Morse Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She has written extensively on Black Families, race, gender & class, and public policy. She is a founding member of the Black Radical Congress. And, she consults nationally on issues of Race, Gender & Class in the curriculum. Dr. Brewer serves as the Co-Chair of the EJAM Board of Directors.

Hear community activists and participate in learning sessions. Learn what they are doing to promote healthy, self-sustainable communities:

  • Little Village Environmental Justice Organization, Chicago, IL
  • West Side Citizens Organization, St. Paul

There will be dance, spoken-word and musical performances. 

At every EJAM event – attendees are encouraged to empower others by sharing their thoughts and inspiration; making us all partners for success!

Our 5th Annual Founders Day was a huge success!!!!!!! Thank you everyone for coming and working toward environmental justice. Together we will build a better future.

Almost 300 people came together, participated in dialogue, donated time and money, and shared vision and concerns for Environmental Justice. Thank you for your donation.
