Lead Poisoning Prevention
Our community faces serious environmental health issues because of the presence of lead and other toxins in the home. Environmental Justice Advocates of Minnesota's Lead Poisoning Prevention program is designed to reduce exposure to toxins, including:
- Lead,
- Carbon monoxide,
- Radon,
- Mold,
- Allergens.
The community is educated about ways to reduce exposure through educational events as well as home screening and referral.
Together Renewing Our Urban People's Environment
The environmental justice work of today cannot continue tomorrow without the leadership of our youth. Together Renewing Our Urban People's Environment (TROUPE) is a youth leadership project that engages 7th - 10th graders in the Northside neighborhood as the next generation of environmental advocates.
Through TROUPE, students collaborate with Elders and environmental professionals to:
